175,000 miles and years of built-up dirt 😳

This Ford F-150 came to South Side Detail in Plainfield before my client’s road trip, and the interior needed a serious reset. Sand, food, crumbs, debris under the seats, a spider hiding inside, filthy carpets, seats, floor mats, door jambs — pretty much everything needed attention.

I gave it a full interior restoration with deep vacuuming, compressed air, shampooing, mat restoration and a complete interior clean. I also detailed the engine bay, washed and sealed the exterior, and cleaned out the truck bed.

A huge transformation and ready for the road again.

Putting the Neburia Gen 2 to work on the engine bay of my personal car
The cordless sprayer made it quick and easy to foam the entire engine bay, including the tighter areas. After foaming, I agitated everything with the included detailing brush, rinsed it down, and finished off the engine bay.

How to remove heavy tar from car paint safely 👇

This Ford Fusion had tar all over the lower areas — inside the fenders, side rockers, and underneath the front and rear bumpers. I used tar remover and a plastic blade to break it down and safely remove it, restoring the smooth pearl white finish.

P&S sent me their Reflect Glass Finisher, so I put it through a real-world road trip test. 👀

Reflect adds SiO₂ protection to the glass, giving it a slick, hydrophobic surface that helps make the glass easier to maintain and keep clean.

After the road trip, the windshield was still showing impressive hydrophobic behavior. During the rain, I could see water, dirt, and some of the bug buildup clearing from the glass. I also showed how dirty the front bumper was so you could see what the vehicle went through on the trip.

Once I got home, the windshield rinsed off easily with the pressure washer. The surface was so slick that my towel literally slid down the windshield.

I finished by applying another layer of Reflect. It’s quick and easy to use and leaves the glass clean, slick, and streak-free.

The filthy wheels were deep cleaned to remove built-up dirt and brake dust, followed by a full-body foam bath and careful hand wash. A durable paint sealant was then applied to enhance the shine and protect the exterior.

The B-pillar trim on this 2022 Honda Pilot was faded, dull, oxidized, and heavily stained.

After polishing, the yellow pad turned completely black from everything being removed. I then applied a ceramic coating to protect the finish and enhance the restored appearance.

The final result: cleaner, darker, and glossy black trim that looks dramatically better.
