Looking forward to 4th of July weekend @ Watkins Glen Raceway…. It’s going to be a hot one, so great opportunity to test the new IS500 transmission cooler horizontal configuration with under-car exit! With the country about to celebrate a birthday, I thought it was a good time to mention that we are also at a milestone. It was a little over a decade ago that Rafi Raban decided to take a chance with an obscure V8 powered sedan that just about everyone had been over looking. The first few years were an up hill climb as people were still not taking the platform seriously. But after a lot of track sessions, added horsepower and better handling improvements, I think RR Racing showed the car community that Lexus is going to be a part of it for good.

So Gazoo Racing literally just posted a reel showing smoke out the back of their “hot lap” IS500. This is literally why you need our Ultimate Air/Oil Separator. High G corners are causing puddling of oil at the bottom of the intake manifold. As they let her rip the oil gets sucked in and burns, causing smoke and carbon buildup!
