Several participants in the ALS Arizona United Access rental program recently experienced a lowered-floor wheelchair accessible vehicle for the first time and described it as life-changing.

Their reactions were a powerful reminder that many people are unaware of the mobility technology available, how it works and the independence it can provide.

✨ April is Occupational Therapy Month! ✨

United Access Phoenix was proud to celebrate by participating in the Northern Arizona University Technology Fair! 🎉
Around 90 occupational therapy students got hands-on experience with BraunAbility power side-entry wheelchair accessible vehicles, specialized seating, hand controls, and more. Nothing beats seeing future OTs explore adaptive technology up close! 🚐♿

Congratulations to this incredible group of students—we’re excited to continue working together to change lives through mobility and independence. 💙

Friday April 1, 2022 was a very special day in the history of our Phoenix Ability Center. The team was inducted into the Arizona Veterans' Hall of Fame and was honored to receive the 2022 Copper Eagle Award by the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society. What a tremendous gift and honor to be acknowledged by such an amazing group of heroes. To our veterans and the AZVOFS: Thank you for your service, sacrifice and this beautiful award we will always treasure. Truly, the opportunity you allow us to assist you is all the award we need. God Bless you, God Bless our Military and may God Bless America!

The usual method to show you need assistance to refuel your car involves flashing your lights, putting your hazards on, displaying your blue....

Our team recently had the honor of helping this amazing hero regain some independence. Our certified shop technicians were able to modify his new Ford truck with hand controls, an adaptive seat that exits and lowers itself outside of the vehicle (Link Seat) and a Bruno Lift for his wheelchair.
