I'm sad to report that Speedweek at Bonneville has been cancelled for 2015.

On Monday, July 20th, the SCTA evaluated the salt and called the event. The most racing surface they could find was 2 1/4 miles of salt suitable for a safe race course. The rest of the salt flats are either wet or wet and muddy.

It was a busy race weekend at El Mirage. Here are two shots of the course taken from the mid point. First is looking up course toward the starting line. Second is looking down course. You can see the cones marking the return road. The weekend was HOT HOT HOT - 104+. It was good to see all our land speed friends!

Hi everyone! This weekend in the first El Mirage event. They were able to secure a two day permit with BLM since last month was rained out. Come up and watch some land speed racing!!!! Racing Saturday and Sunday.

Hey everyone. After some much needed rain yesterday and overnight, this weekend's opening El Mirage event has been canceled. The lake bed has water on it and will remain closed. We are bummed to not be racing this weekend but grateful for the moisture. See you all next month!
