At 94 years old, one of drag racing’s greatest legends still wakes up grateful and excited about life—while so many waste their days complaining, arguing and spreading negativity.

Life is short. Be thankful. Enjoy the ride. Celebrate the good. Support one another—and leave the negativity behind.

Jack Beckman is an Indy winner again!

Beckman defeated Matt Hagan in the Funny Car final Monday at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park to capture the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals — his third Indy victory, adding to his wins in 2015 and 2020.

And he did it with a monster run.

Beckman left the starting line with a .055 reaction time and powered the John Force Racing Funny Car to a 3.965-second pass at 327.35 mph, defeating Hagan's 4.030 at 318.84.

It was a spectacular ending to an already memorable weekend for Beckman, who raced a John Force 1996 tribute machine and kept advancing through the eliminations.

Hagan's runner-up finish came after he secured the 2026 Funny Car Regular Season Championship in the semifinals when Ron Capps smoked the tires. Hagan entered the final knowing the championship was already his — but he still had one more Wally to chase.

“I think we kind of came in here at the end,” Hagan said after clinching the title. “Now we still got a race to win.”

He came up one round short.

For Beckman, however, the biggest trophy in Funny Car racing is coming home with him.

2015. 2020. 2026.

After nabbing her first professional win for Carlyle Tools two weeks ago in Norwalk, Ohio, Top Fuel rookie Maddi Gordon was eager to add another piece of hardware to her NHRA trophy collection. Unfortunately, tire smoke thwarted her efforts in the opening round of competition against one of her childhood heroes, Leah Pruett, at the DENSO NHRA Sonoma Nationals.
