I never make posts like this but I feel it’s good for everyone to know.

When someone says they can do it sooner and cheaper it’s not always the best choice

The first 2 pictures is how another mechanic left this customers vehicle in their garage

This is a job I gave a quote on for this customer but he didn’t call back .. complete front end suspension and axles .. i would have done it in one day

Another mechanic gave him a cheaper quote and was available sooner .. there are lots of new mobile mechanics popping up lately so no worries it happens

Well this mechanic struggled working on this van for 4 days to complete this job

In the end the mechanic got all the parts installed but he damaged an axle seal while trying to install the axle and when he got it all back together it was leaking transmission fluid pretty bad

The mechanic started to take the new axle out and could not get it out .. he gave up on the job and told the customer he couldn’t do it and never came back and left the van in pieces

I was able to get the seal replaced and put it all back together in about an hour and all is well now

I have cleaned up many jobs like this from other mechanics over the years

Everybody makes mistakes but not everybody can or will fix them

I have spent almost a decade now building my business as a trustworthy mobile mechanic

My main goal has always been repeat customers and my strategy has always been quality work / honesty/ transparency/ accountability/fair pricing / not pushing unnecessary repairs and treating people like they are family and not customers
