Thank you, everyone, for helping us sell tickets for the Hooks for Harry Kids derby today! We were able to hand out 8 Lifetime Fishing Licenses to adorable kids!

Wow, we still have over an hour for the Lifetime Fishing License drawing for kids and believe we have enough for at least 6 at the moment! It will probably be more by 12:30! If you can strut down there to the Newfane Town Marina - grab a FREE blue ticket for each kid! They can win a lifetime license and don't have to be fishing - Just be there!

Saturday, June 27 - It's one awesome weather and fishing weekend for anyone in New York. It's free fishing today and tomorrow. It's also the annual Kids Fishing HOOKS FOR HARRY Derby at the Newfane town marina. You can sign up starting at 8 am. It ends at noon and you can fish the piers to Burt Dam. (I think I have that right). There are several awesome prizes, and get this FREE BAIT - until we run out of course. We are providing loads of nightcrawlers and soft baits for the kids today!

Many other businesses are also providing great prizes. The derby is for kids ages 4 to 15. The added bonus is hopefully a few LIFETIME FISHING LICENSES FOR KIDS to be drawn at hopefully 12:30 by Harry's mom and dad. Those will be available to ALL ages from 0-15. You will receive a ticket and the child MUST be present to win one of the licenses. They do not have to be fishing. That opens up the winner to all children who can't fish in a derby. We will not know how many licenses will be available until the actual drawing because we are selling and collecting raffle tickets right up until noon! Raffle tickets for the $500, $250 and $100 will be on sale at the marina all morning. Vic has kids from the school coming to help. Kids fishing the derby will be eligible to win the many prizes they have for each age group. All kids fishing the derby will also get a ticket for the lifetime license drawing. I hope I said this right!

A little over 30 years ago, my husband Jim Evarts started The Boat Doctors with my brother Kevin Daniel . Jim was the mechanic. Kevin was the fiberglass guy. Although Kev wasn't able to work here like he once did, we will miss him dearly. RIP Kevin. Your legacy is here in our hearts.
