Every now and then we run across a place that makes us think, “Yep… this is why people buy RVs.”

Alpine Valley RV Resort in Wyoming is one of those places.

You’ve got the mountains, the Snake River, Grand Teton not far away, wildlife everywhere, and enough scenery to make your phone storage nervous.

They even have a “Wet & Wild” package with rafting and wildlife tours, which sounds like a pretty solid way to spend a few days.

No sales pitch here. We just like sharing places that make you want to hook up the camper, point the truck west and disappear for a little while.

And if you happen to need an RV before doing that… well, we may know a place 😁.

Are you familiar with the 3-3-3 or 4-4-4 rule of RVing? Because this author wasn’t.

The 3-3-3 rule is pretty simple: travel no more than 300 miles in a day, arrive by 3 PM and stay at least 3 nights.

The 4-4-4 version stretches it out a little — 400 miles, arrive by 4 PM and stay 4 nights.

And then there’s the 2-2-2 crowd: We just call them weekend warriors.

They’re not really “rules,” just different ways RVers keep travel days from taking over the trip.

So which one are you? or are you in the “keep driving until somebody gets hungry or has to pee” group? 😂
