2003 Ford Ranger in Ojai -- This customer wanted a new cooling system so they got a radiator, water pump, thermostat, and fan clutch The alternator also got replaced because it wasnt charging either. All is well again with the engine, now its off to the transmission shop. It'll be back on the road soon again!

2011 Toyota Tacoma in Ventura -- While driving, someone cut off the owner of this pickup. He slammed on his brakes then started loosing his brakes, he limped it home. Noticed there was brake fluid comeing from the rear passengerside wheel, went to remove the drum, it was stuck bad. The insides had come apart and jammed everything up. The drum got cut off in pieces very carefully I was told. I showed up a few days later to what you see here. Very clean grinder work! Got it all sorted out and did the front brakes at the same time. New wheel cylinder and full kit rears. Power-flushed the whole system, and its back on the road again.

Better Call Better Call Hall is now a CARFAX Car Care Service Center! This means that every repair we do on your vehicle gets documented in Carfax's Database. So when you go to do a claim on a warranty, your oil changes are documented! When you go to sell the car, any potential buyer can see that you took good care of it changing the wheel bearing 2 years ago, or the coolant was flushed last year, or the brakes were just done 3 months ago for example. Good stuff!

1997 Nissan 200SX in Oxnard -- This one had a P0500, for the transmission speed sensor circuit. This is the perfect case study that shows the code is NOT the diagnosis! Turns out it was 4 screws that connected the speedometer in the dash to the printed circuit board contacts. Sinple enough, after a bunch of circuit testing that included confirming a good square waveform 0 to 5 volts DC on the oscilliscope from the sensor, then confirming a good AC sine waveform coming from the speedometer to the engine computer. Also confirmed that none of those wires in that circuit are shorted to power or ground, and load testing those wires as well. So after all that, just tighten the screws and it started working again.

1948 Chevrolet Truck in Ojai -- This one had been sitting for a while, needed a new starter, old fuel emptied from the tank, and a new ignition coil.. the old coil was a 12 volt, so we got the proper one installed now. Fired right up!
