Here at Ojai Valley Imports, oil changes are the service we perform most often, by far. And that's great!

If you change your oil regularly your car will have a proper lubrication, which reduces the amount of heat produced by the engine. Oil changes also get rid of dirt and debris, which makes your engine run slower. If your engine heats up because of old oil, it will wear down and eventually stop working properly.

You can refer to your car's manual to determine how frequently you should come in for an oil change. Or just ask us!

"Grateful and happy!! - We drove from Joshua Tree area to Ojai for a family reunion. On the way, our Element started smelling of hot oil. Checked the oil level, it was low so we topped it off. We made it to Ojai on Thursday, late afternoon, and noticed there was a little smoke coming from under the hood (and the smell of oil burning.) We called friends of ours who live in Ojai to see who they recommend, and they told us about Ojai Imports. Called OI on Friday morning and spoke with Tim, who said to bring it right over (what a relief that they could take us!) They diagnosed a leak in the crankshaft seal and replaced it and the car was done within a few hours. The repair cost was very reasonable, and we had the car back before the weekend. Tim was super nice and explained everything well. And, we were able to leave on time on Monday morning to get back to the desert in time to take my sister to Palm Springs airport to catch her flight. This could have been a nightmare but was instead an amazing experience of a friendly professional repair shop doing a great job for us. I am so very grateful!!! I highly recommend these folks. :)))))))"
