When the schedule is packed and Roy casually says, โ€œWe get to use the big shop todayโ€ฆโ€ you know things are going to get a little interesting.

Today, we pause and remember the 2,977 lives taken too soon. We remember the firefighters, police officers, first responders, military members, and ordinary heroes who ran toward danger while others were running away.

We remember the families who said goodbye that morning and the empty seats that remain at their tables to this day.

But we also remember what happened afterward. A nation that stood together. Strangers helped strangers. Communities came together. Flags flew proudly. We found strength in one another.

May we choose kindness over division, courage over fear, and compassion over indifference. May we love our families a little tighter, appreciate our freedoms a little deeper, and never hesitate to lend a hand to someone in need.
