THANK YOU YORK TOWNSHIP for always being there for our entire community !
Hope to see EVERYONE out to support Sheila , Angie & Missy . This family would do anything for anyone , let’s come together for this special cause .

We told you about the loss of Firefighter Rick Bond , On May 30th we are going to have a benefit breakfast in his honor. All proceeds will go to the family to help with hospital and doctor bills that they have from a long fight with health issues.

We will have a full menu, a 50/50, and maybe a raffle or two. Food will be paid for from us so 100% of the money raised will go to the Bonds.

If you can’t make it and want to donate please send to Chief McManus Venmo and put Rick’s name on it.

Breakfast is by donation!!

This entire year feels like a nightmare we just can’t wake up from .
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of one of our own , Rick Bond .

Rick was loved by all , always willing to jump in and help out with anything / anywhere . Rick loved all things racing and passed that love on to his two daughters.
Rick was a very special member of our Fast Traxx family , a true original and the head flagger of the majority of our events . Working every single event he could until his health wouldn’t allow him to continue .
Rick along with his beautiful wife and daughters have been with us since the beginning. A true Moto Family .
OUR FAMILY ………
Without Rick , Sheila , Missy & Angie
Fast Traxx simply wouldn’t be possible. We are so thankful / grateful for all the years of friendship, love & support.
This heartbreaking time has been made even more tragic by the loss of Rick’s precious Grandpup, Maxxis .
Who passed away only 2 days before.
Maxxis was a one of a kind Moto Pup who loved the races , attending not only the Fast Traxx Events but traveled the country attending the GNCC races with Mom & Dad . Rest in Peace Sweet Pup

I will miss Ricks friendship and humor spending countless Supercross nights together where he never failed to tell me when handed the last set of moto results , that he found the ones I’ve been looking for! And after racing from 9am - Midnight SX results from the last moto of the night were exactly what I was looking for .

When riders see the checkered flag their dominant feeling is a mix of profound relief , intense physical exhaustion and pure elation . It represents the successful end to a hard fought battle .
I can’t help but smile when I think of the countless riders who felt that feeling upon seeing our friend smiling and waving that flag for them .
The immediate realization of finishing the race and securing a hard earned victory!
His daughter Angie said it Best ,
“ He made it to his finish line ❤️🏁❤️“

Please keep Sheila , Missy ( Matt ) , Angie & Lane in your thoughts & prayers in the coming days , weeks & months ahead .

Ricky “Rick” Neil Bond, age 67, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away on May 17, 2026, at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital in Athens, Ohio, surrounded by the love of his family.

Rick was born on February 26, 1959, in Nelsonville, Ohio. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence made an impact everywhere he went. He shared a life full of love, laughter, and friendship.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Slisher; his brother, Jeff Dolman; and his father-in-law, Warren “Herk” Swyers.

Rick was a retired member of the Action Sports Superstaff and a proud member of the FastTraxx Racing Family. Racing was a lifelong passion that he loved sharing with the people closest to him. He was also a retired captain and lifetime member of the York Township Volunteer Fire Department.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of O’Bleness Hospital Emergency Room, the 3rd Floor nursing staff, and the hospice nurses for the exceptional compassion and care shown to Rick and his family during such a difficult time. Special thanks are also extended to Carol Wells for standing beside the family, and to the York Township Volunteer Fire Department for the honors shown in recognition of Rick’s service and dedication.

Rick leaves behind a life filled with love, memories, and deep connections that will continue to live on through all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A celebration of Rick’s life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville.
