Steering Nozzle and split duct reverse bucket on an outboard jet!!!!???

Yes, we did!!

Was approached by a friend of ours to tackle this one-of-a-kind project. He wanted stick steer but had issues trying to turn this massive outboard jet. Especially, when the boat dipped to the side in corners and had to fight the weight of the motor.

Rocky Mountain Jet solved the problem!! Locked out the steering on the outboard jet, lengthened the exhaust tube, welded on an adapter, installed a jet ski steering nozzle, and hand fabricated a split duct reverse bucket. This project was far from a slam bang finish, and it really tested our patience on water tests. Early on we ended up having to alleviate a back pressure issues that were created by the stock length exhaust and nozzle diameter, but with some careful planning and trips to the lake we WON in the end!!!

Just finished up with a quick repower on the gorgeous old Weldcraft. This sweet little ride needed a new heart. Pulled out the old 351 Ford and repowered with a used 6.0 Kodiak we sourced for the customer. Now the customer and the boat get to enjoy easy starts and better fuel economy, with the modern convenience of fuel injection.
It was a joy to work on this boat!!
