Jerry Wayne Cooper, aged 48, of Tulsa, OK, passed away on October 3, 2024 in Tulsa, OK. Born on December 30, 1975, in Sapulpa, OK, he was a proud graduate of Muskogee High School, Class of 1995.
Jerry faced life's challenges head-on. He overcame anything and everything with a smile on his face. He could fix and fabricate anything mechanical and enjoyed going on jobs with Tyler and Owen.
Jerry's family was his pride and joy, but his passion extended to the outdoors, where he loved giving his grandbabies rides on his electric wheelchair and the golf cart, often showing off by popping wheelies on his hot rod mobility scooter. A car enthusiast, he cherished racing, working on cars, attending car shows, and participating in cruise nights. He won the burnout competition in Ft. Gibson in 2020. He also enjoyed watching college football and engaging in politics (Trump 2024!).
He is survived by his father, Robert Cooper of Muskogee, OK; brother, Dewayne and Terry Graham of Selma, TX; his wife, Jennie Cooper, to whom he was married for 25 years, and their daughters, Audrey Goad and husband Tyler of Muskogee, OK, Ashley Bowlin and husband Alec of Tulsa, OK, and Alison Boots and husband Tyler of Muskogee, OK. His grandbabies—Nash, Navy, Cash, Indiana, Owen, McKinley, and Brantley, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends—who brought immense happiness to his life..
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice Cooper, brothers Robert Leroy Jr., Michael Lawrence, Terry Lee, Kevin Ray Cooper, and grandparents Hazel and Jessie Cooper, and Faye and Lawrence Milford.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Shipman Funeral Home in Wagoner, OK.
