the only thing they are giving up is enough room for a sidewalk. the red line represents what the city is getting for giving up the entire campground area. it is ridiculous.
once the campground area is gone, it can never be replaced!
the city is pulling the wool over everyone's eyes and not giving the full details of the backroom deals they already have in place.
why do we need a major shipping port when we have no industry here requiring it??
who is paying for road upgrades and repairs for large trucks rolling over the busiest road into the city daily??
this area also is the last marsh left on Muskegon Lake, marshes clean the water and are the health indicator of lake water.
we must stand up and show up Monday and make our voices heard!
