Last week we had a customer contact us when her tire blew out on the way to the airport. Unfortunately whoever had previously worked on the vehicle did not return the wheel lock key so she was unable to swap the spare on.
Luckily it worked out that we were able to come pick the car up for her so she could get a ride to the airport and not miss her flight. While she was away we got her tire replaced, inspection done and a new set of wheel locks installed with the proper security key to prevent this situation from happening again.
While we aren’t always able to help in these emergency situations, we were happy to take the worry away from the customer so she could enjoy her vacation without the extra stress of vehicle trouble when she got home!
Pro tip: Make sure if your vehicle has locking lug nuts you leave the tool readily available for the shop working on your car, and they should do the same by making sure to put it back in your car where you left it for them!
