Got questions about our new Reserved Lawn Chair Seating? We’ve gotten quite a few, so we put together a quick walkthrough explaining how it all works.

The biggest points to remember:
✅ Only the top four rows of Sections 3-12 are reserved.
✅ More than half of our lawn chair seating remains first-come, first-served.
✅ We also have plenty of bleacher seating available throughout the grandstands.
✅ Reserved Lawn Chair Seating tickets are also your general admission ticket and give you the ability to use our Skip-the-Line Presale Entrance on Raceday.

If you’d like a guaranteed lawn chair spot, a few Reserved Lawn Chair Seating tickets are still available through Ticket Hoss. Otherwise, just bring your chair and arrive early to claim one of the many first-come, first-served spaces.

🏁 Our 2027 Gulf Coast Winter Nationals just keeps getting bigger!

We’re excited to welcome the SCDRA Sport Compacts to Southern Raceway for a $5,000-to-win event on January 22-23. The tour’s first-ever visit to Southern will run alongside the $10,000-to-win Fried Bologna 150 Enduro that will run on Saturday of the same weekend.

The event will officially kick off the 2027 racing season at Southern Raceway and begin seven consecutive weekends of racing during the 2027 Gulf Coast Winter Nationals. 🌴🏁

We’re excited to partner with Kelley Carlton and everyone at SCDRA to bring their racers and fans to the Gulf Coast for what should be an outstanding opening weekend.

SCDRA Set for Gulf Coast Winter Nationals at Southern Raceway

Woodruff, South Carolina (July 16, 2026) - SCDRA presented by Schaeffer’s Oil officials announced the Inaugural SCDRA Gulf Coast Winter Nationals set for January 22-23, 2027 at Hunt the Front’s Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida. The 40 lap main event will pay $5000 to win and $200 to start on Saturday. The event will coincide with Southern’s Fried Bologna 150 Enduro event.

“We have talked a few times about having a Winter Nationals type event and our membership was very open to the idea of doing it. So when Joshua (Joiner co-promoter at Southern Raceway) contacted me, we were able to put it together pretty quickly. The Joiners have done a great job with the racetrack and they are really building their own Speedweeks. So we are proud to be a part of it. This will segue into some of the other announcements we will be making soon.” said SCDRA’s Kelley Carlton.

The standard two-day SCDRA format will be utilized for this alternate points event. With Friday being practice and Round 1 of Jason Waters Tuning Qualifying. Saturday will have a co****le tournament before the evenings racing with a $200 top prize along with a custom set of SCDRA co****le boards. Officials will also announce the winner of the $200 best appearing car.

Racing gets under way Saturday with hot lap qualifying for Round 2 of Jason Waters Qualifying. The top 10 fastest cars will lock into the A-Main while all others will need to race their way in through B-Mains. There will be an autograph session immediately following qualifying. Fans will be able to get an up close look at the fastest overall qualifier’s race car at the autograph session as well.
