It’s Monte Monday again! Dave is back to work on the 1981 Monte Carlo, and this week he had some help from Colleen as they installed the new passenger side door. With the new door in place, they had to test fit everything around it and work on getting the gaps and alignment just right. The striker had to be removed, and the fender needed to be moved around to make sure everything lined up properly. Dave and Colleen worked together to pick up and adjust the door several times to get the fitment closer. Dave still has some work to do before the door is fitting exactly right, but it is exciting to see a brand new door finally sitting on the Monte. There’s still a lot more to tackle on the Monte, so stay tuned to see what Dave gets into next Monday!
