It’s another project day in the Half Dozen Customs shop! Dave took a break from the restorations to give a 2023 Honda Odyssey a little attention. Colleen's mom recently picked up the van, and it was time to give it a thorough cleaning and polish. Dave started with a complete wash before using an SOS pad and Rain X on the windshield and rear glass to improve visibility. He then buffed out scratches on the passenger side sliding door, driver side door, driver side sliding door, and rear bumper, bringing the paint back to life. Sometimes it is the smaller projects that make the biggest difference, and this Odyssey was looking much better by the time Dave was finished. Dave is currently working on a 1949 Jeep W***ys Pickup, and this week he continues making progress on the paint and finishing stages of the build. Dave started by sanding the interior of the hood before moving on to prepping the interior of both front fenders for paint. Once the prep work was complete, he sealed and painted the inside of both front fenders. Next, it was time to turn his attention to the truck bed. Dave moved the bed, cleaned it up, and removed both bed fenders to prepare them for paint. He carefully prepped the interior of both bed fenders and the inside of both steps before applying paint, giving even the hidden areas the same attention to detail as the rest of the build. It is exciting to see more finished parts coming together as the W***ys gets closer to final assembly. Thanks for watching, and stay tuned for more work on the Jeep W***ys Pickup!

It’s Monte Monday again! Dave is back to work on the 1981 Monte Carlo, and this week he is continuing repairs on the passenger side quarter panel. Dave started by cutting out the rusted areas and exposing the metal that needed attention. He then began creating a patch panel for the interior passenger side quarter panel near the wheel well, carefully shaping it to fit the area being repaired. These smaller repairs take time and patience, but each patch brings the Monte one step closer to having solid, rust free metal again. There’s still a lot more to tackle on the Monte, so stay tuned to see what Dave gets into next Monday!
