FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Nebraska — July 10, 2026

National Track Safety Association (NTSA) Announces Formation Effort to Strengthen Motorsports Safety Through Professional Standards, Practical Education, and Connection
The National Track Safety Association (NTSA) today announced the formation of a new nonprofit membership association dedicated to improving safety and professionalism across grassroots and regional motorsports. NTSA is being built to serve the people responsible for preventing, managing, and responding to incidents at motorsports venues—bringing together disciplines that too often operate separately.
NTSA is currently in the final stages of filing required formation paperwork and is preparing to launch its first wave of member resources and educational programming.

A Practical, Grassroots-Focused Mission

NTSA’s mission is to strengthen motorsports safety through professional standards, practical education, and meaningful connection among the people responsible for protecting drivers, participants, workers, and spectators.
“Motorsports safety is a system,” said Jake Kruse, Co-founder and organizer. “Fire, EMS, recovery, officials, race control, teams, and venue leadership all play a role—and when those groups don’t share tools, terminology, and expectations, performance suffers. NTSA exists to close that gap with practical resources and consistent education that can be used at the next event.”

What NTSA Is — and What It Is Not

NTSA is designed to be an education-and-resources association that supports better preparation and coordination across disciplines. In its first year, NTSA will focus on publishing model templates, hosting practical learning sessions, and building a trusted network of peers.
NTSA is not intended to replace sanctioning bodies, emergency medical agencies, equipment standards organizations, or existing scientific organizations. NTSA will also not operate as a regulator, accreditation program, or enforcement authority during its initial phase.

Member Value: Tools, Education, and a Trusted Network

NTSA’s Year-One member value is built around consistent delivery and real-world usefulness, including:
Practical templates and model tools to support pre-event planning, communications, and post-incident learning
Virtual education sessions and case-study discussions focused on real operations and lessons learned
Cross-discipline connection through member meetings, working groups, and peer support
Regular updates and resource releases to ensure members see predictable value throughout the year
NTSA’s approach emphasizes practical application and accessibility—supporting the volunteer-led and part-time professionals who make up much of grassroots motorsports safety.

Membership Updates

NTSA will offer affordable dues and a simple membership structure. Membership enrollment will open after formation paperwork is complete.
For updates on timing, announcements, and next steps, the public is encouraged to follow the NTSA page.

Call for Founding Support

NTSA is welcoming founding supporters, contributors, and mission-aligned partners who want to help build a credible, member-driven association focused on professionalism, education, and coordination.
Individuals and organizations interested in contributing expertise or supporting early programming can contact NTSA using the information below.
