As the holiday and vacation zooms closer and closer towards being over... We have quite a bit of availability this weekend.

Campsite Highlight:

We often get asked what is your personal favorite campsite or if you would choose a campsite to stay in - which one would it be..

We would always pick campsite number one.
It is (in our opinion) the most beautiful, spacious campsite we have available and it is everything we love about the great-outdoors. It almost always has a breeze, and has beautiful canopies of trees, helping with protection from the heat or rain.

My husband and I used to camp all the time and we love the water .. kayaking, fishing, and just sitting in enjoyment. This campsite provides an area that you can fish from shore, but also launch kayaks from there.. or simply sit and watch the beautiful sunrises. It has both gravel and grass in areas of the site, providing a nice area for a tent if one so chooses.

Campsite #1 at SSC is one of our most reserved campsites and is almost never available..

# 1 is only available two weekends in August, a few in September and two weekends in October. If you have been patiently waiting to snag this site.. there is very limited availability left until we are closed for the season.

I have been dreaming of the day we could finally check this off the list..
Today, was the day. I can not tell you how excited I am. My smile couldn't have been any bigger.😁

My goal was to have this done before the 4th of July.. but sadly we had so much happen last week, and along with heat and rain we simply couldn't make it happen. Plus, this made me "cheese" a whole lot for a mundane Tuesday.

Though this past week was certainly strange in so many ways we want to thank all of our campers who braved first the heat and humidity.. then rain and storms. Every day on repeat ..

As owners, we had to pivot so many times this week, quickly changing plans and our maintenance schedule according to the heat index and rain.

But Y'all are troopers and you made the best of it. The holiday didn't look like we expected it to but on the flip side we are so grateful for the community we have built here .. where guests quickly become friends and family.

Thank you again for helping with clean up. Today, we continue to make a dent in the far side of the campground (by our seasonal sites) and we hope to get most of it knocked out . We didn't lose any large trees but lots and lots of large branches and small branches alike.

Let the clean up continue 🫣🎉
