What a great weekend here close to home! I met a lot of new friends and talked a lot about Ozzy and the truck. Thanks to the Orange Beach Invasion for throwing an amazing event, and thanks to Clint and staff at Radical Ridez for recognizing Ozzy's truck; also, making the Top 100 at this show is hard, as there were so many awesome vehicles, definitely feeling grateful!

With more than 78,000 spectators in both 2024 and 2025, Orange Beach Invasion has become one of the most attended car and truck shows in the nation, drawing massive crowds for sponsors, vendors, participants, and fans. Ozzy’s Truck to Make First-Ever Appearance at 2026 Detroit Autorama

Detroit, MI — February 27–March 1, 2026

Ozzy’s Truck will make its first-ever appearance in 2026 at the 73rd Annual Detroit Autorama, held February 27–March 1 at Huntington Place in Detroit. Known as “America’s Greatest Hot Rod Show,” the Detroit Autorama is one of the most respected automotive events in the world, featuring over 800 elite custom vehicles, the legendary Ridler Award, and tens of thousands of passionate fans and media representatives.

The fully restored 1983 Chevrolet Scottsdale will be showcased in the D Lot, the largest and most prominent display area at the three-day event, and a major attraction for Midwest automotive enthusiasts.

Ozzy’s Truck is more than a classic restoration—it is a rolling tribute honoring the life of Jeffery “Ozzy” Otzwirk, a U.S. Navy veteran who died by su***de after returning from his second Gulf deployment. Left untouched for decades in his parents’ driveway, the truck became the foundation of Ozzy’s Truck Project, a nationwide awareness effort created by Navy veteran Jared Ashley, in partnership with NASCAR legend Richard Petty, to spark conversations around mental health, su***de prevention, and breaking stigma.
