🚨🚨🚨 We would like to take a quick moment to say “Thank You” to Justin and Jen Zeigler for allowing us to rebuild your home away from home during race season all summer long!! 🚨🚨🚨
A very good friend of us Brad Helton referred Justin and Jen to us as too they all race together in the ODSS Series!! Justin and Jen upgraded from there old race hauler to a more maintainable rig!! They found a nice used 53’ race hauler that we later found out was an animal rescue shelter and was upfitted for that very use!! Man o man did that open an entire bag of worms that we would have never dreamed of😮…. Please Please🙏 listen to us…. If you don’t know how to wire 120v AC or 12v DC then please don’t!! Most of what we found on this trailer with wiring should have literally burnt this rig to the ground!! When there peoples lives at risk, please don’t “try to make something work”- it could very well cost you your life or someone else’s for that matter….
The previous owner had a 12v power disconnect switch ran directly from the positive terminal of one battery and the other terminal ran to a ground bolt on the chassis😮🤯!! They had 2- 50amp 120v service panels tied together off one leg(black wire) of a 50amp service… while trying to run 4…. Yes, “4” roof top AC units on this rig🤦🏻♂️… then they wired an extension cord to the converter charger for power access🤦🏻♂️… every 120v AC wire in the garage area was bare just sitting inside the ceiling bouncing around without any connectors on the ends- yep BARE wire…. So how it was stated in the beginning, if you don’t know wiring please pay or have someone that’s experienced enough to know what there doing perform these type of repairs👌!!
So….. with what Justin and Jen wanted we had to completely rewire the entire electrical system of this 53’ race hauler!! They had a generator that had two 30amp power plugs, so we custom wired exterior twist lock 25’ power cords for the 2- 30amp power distribution panels, updated all the wire, circuit breakers, all 12v wiring with new HD disconnect, wired a 12v distribution block and fused all the 12v wiring on the entire trailer for safety!! All wiring was updated at every connection with heat shrink and proper connectors. Both batteries were wired together with 6awg wire and copper soldered ends with heatshrink!! Every exterior light on the trailer was removed and updated to LED and all wiring under the entire trailer was also replaced as well as the electric brake wire!! We literally removed 2 large piles of faulty wiring that was all “scotch locked” with jumper wires🤦🏻♂️!! - see the pics😮
We also added and updated all electrical lights inside the garage to LED, 6-120v AC LED garage lights, and added 12v overhead lights, 3 12v fans and rewired the rear garage AC to have a wall thermostat!! We also replaced all the damaged ceiling roof panels, installed all new custom HD wall cabinets, and added custom wall switches and panels!! ….and anybody that knows the Zeigler’s knows that there favorite color is GREEN- so we also added some interior ambiance LED green lights for them💪💪… We also added new steps, new custom weatherproof outlets on the outside of the rig dedicated on there own circuit for race coolers/fans for the race truck(Dirty Diana)!! Plus, we also added a custom weather proof outlet on the front of the trailer.
and last but not least, we added a complete “GREEN underglow” package for the entire trailer just like we always like to do!!
