😱 THE HORROR!
This is a torn CV Axle Boot on a vehicle that was recently towed in. CV axles (Constant Velocity axles) transfer rotational power from your transmission to the drive wheels. They act as flexible drive shafts, allowing your wheels to spin continuously while simultaneously turning the steering wheel and moving up and down with the suspension.

🧐 WHAT HAPPENED?
Normally the rubber boot (torn in this video) holds a lot of grease to keep the joint lubricated. So, this torn boot ultimately caused the joint to come apart and now is no longer being driven by the transmission... hence why the car had to be towed in.

👂 WHAT TO LOOK/LISTEN FOR:
You can get under your car and look at your CV Axles, or you can bring your vehicle by any time and we will have a look for you. A couple things to to L👀K and LISTEN for are: thick grease leaking or if you hearing a rotational clicking noise while accelerating through a turn, those are the most common symptoms.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE...
IF your CV Axle breaks while driving, you lose the transfer of power from your transmission to your wheels - simply put, No CV Axle, NO DRIVE! 😱 Which would be a very dangerous scenario, IF your CV Axle broke while operating your vehicle.
