Well the pulling tractor semi went to Wisconsin first and the hauler went to Kentucky this weekend. Really hated to let them go but I hope this sacrifice will allow me to grow the business for now. I’m trying to put every effort into quality tools and trying to get another building put up for quicker turn around. Even though I’m by myself I need more lifts and more bays. This weekend I got the fence row cleaned out. This lot will be where the next shop goes and don’t want the possibility for any trees to fall on it. Next step haul fill dirt in for pad.

Installed 4 10ply Nexen Tire USA on the back of this dually. Also changed fuel filters, air filter and engine oil/filter. These trucks have active air boxes so once you air filter is removed good idea to shop vac box out good chance it will be full of stuff. Other wise your new filter will just suck up all the stuff in the bottom of the box.

This customer shut off his truck and went back to his truck it wouldn’t start. There are allot of things on these trucks before signal gets sent to the starter. This truck didn’t have any DTC’s. These trucks have a A WIN module (Wireless Ignition Node) this is where your key fob inserts. They also have a An RFH module (Radio Frequency Hub or Radio Frequency Module) then it also has to go through a A body control module (BCM). I just assumed I was probably going to have an issue with one of those but after watching live data and being able to communicate with every module I went back to basics. Checked to see if I had voltage at the starter exciter wire and I did. So that meant it had to be a starter. The 6.7 Cummins have a bracket that’s goes from the block to motor adapter plate. Four bolts hold it on I suggest removing it to access bottom starter bolt for the DIY people.

This clean L5P came in for a full service, air filter, engine oil/filter, 10L1000 transmission filter and fluids. Also rotated the tires and relearned TPMS sensors so they would read in correct location.

Thought this might help someone. I love to keep things in the cases they come in but, things I use every day like scan tool, TPMS tool, grinders, flap disk I found these hangers to be very affective to just grab what I need quickly. Pretty cheap organization harbor freight has them for $2.49 but can catch them on sale for $1 allot of times. I will cut them in half depending on what I want to hang on them. Just a way to keep shop looking nice but work friendly.

This customer came in with a coolant leak fixed that issue along with cleaning engine bay up. Installed a nice 90 degree chrome elbow to the exhaust as well. Used HP Tuners to figure out check engine light also.
