Maui Raceway Park

Maui Raceway Park Hawaii's Record Breaking Drag Strip For years prior to VITA's creation, Maui racers had been using the old Puunene military airport for impromptu races.
(202)

In 1963 a small group of Maui drag racing enthusiasts joined together and laid the foundation for the Valley Isle Timing Association, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote safe racing. With the formation of VITA and its association with the National Hot Rod Association, the sport of legitimate drag racing on Maui began. The NHRA was formed in 1951, only twelve years before VITA, as a result of American's passion for racing. Returning military servicemen and hot rodders of the WWII era couldn't wait to jump into race cars and tracks sprang up all around the country. In subsequent years, however, the expansion of suburbia resulted in the closure of most of these original tracks. With VITA now in its 42nd consecutive race season, our track at Maui Raceway Park is one of the five oldest in the country. The fastest run down our ¼ mile track was clocked by a top alcohol funny car at 5.95 seconds and 236 miles per hour, followed by an A/Fuel dragster at 5.80 seconds and 230 miles per hour.

Maui Raceway Park Race-Week Weather Update:

It’s race week! We have received several inquiries regarding whether this weekend’s event may be canceled due to the approaching weather.

At this time, the event is "ON" as scheduled.

We will continue monitoring the weather and assessing facility conditions throughout the week.

As many of you know, Maui Raceway Park is prone to flooding, and excessive rainfall could affect our ability to properly prepare the racing surface.

We’re crossing our fingers that the approaching weather system passes before the weekend.

Any changes or cancellations will be announced through Maui Raceway Park’s official Website, Facebook and Instagram pages.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding. Please continue checking our official pages for the latest updates.

Mahalo Maui!!!

On behalf of the Valley Isle Timing Association, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped make the 2026 Endless Summer Cruise and Show a tremendous success.

Congratulations to all our show award recipients and raffle winners! Mahalo to our generous sponsors, participants, spectators, and everyone who came out to support this special event.

A very special mahalo goes to Brandon Harima and Ohana, the K**a Neizman Ohana, and the entire Aloha Gold Buyers team for their all of their hard work and contributions. We truly enjoy collaborating with you ❤️

We also sincerely thank the Valley Isle Timing Association Board of Directors, club members, volunteers, and staff who put in a very long day to make this event possible. Your hard work, dedication, and teamwork helped create an amazing experience for our entire community.

Whether you received an award or not, everyone who participated contributed to a great cause. Proceeds from the event will help support local Maui families and our nonprofit facility.
