📣 Community Update on the November 6 Incident
We want to update our community and supporters regarding the robbery that occurred on November 6. Working closely with the Maui Police Department (MPD), we confirmed that the incident involved a stolen truck.
After speaking with the rightful owner of the vehicle, we learned that several items were discovered inside the truck, including personal belongings and a receipt from Ace Hardware. Using that receipt, we were able to obtain security footage from Ace Hardware in Wailuku, which captured clear images of the individuals involved and the vehicle.
We also learned that a can of paint was purchased at Ace Hardware shortly before the truck was recovered. When the truck was located and returned to its owner, it had been freshly painted white, except for the backside, which still displayed the original color. Photos documenting this were included with the evidence.
All gathered evidence — the items left in the truck, the security footage, and the photos of the vehicle — has been turned over to MPD detectives for further investigation and forensic testing.
At this stage, we are awaiting the results of their work, and we remain committed to supporting MPD as they move forward with the case. We deeply appreciate your support, your patience, and your vigilance as this investigation continues. Our priority remains the safety of our community, and we will keep you updated as we are able.
Thank you to everyone standing with us through this process.
💛 Your continued support truly means so much
