Been incredibly busy getting things done with Hot Rod Power Tour a week away, and Iola Car Show in a month!
To start, I put the final touch on the Challenger by adding redlines to the tires. I think it really brings the whole package together, you'll see that on Power Tour...
Next, I've started working the finer details on the Checker, painting the grille and taillight bezels to make them pop a little better, as well as adding some led tail lamps to replace the cracked and faded originals.
Then I came to the realization that I am in fact, old. I decided to ditch the sidepipes in favor of a more gasser style exhaust, still 3", but with chambered mufflers. As much as I loved the loud pipes at idle and light cruise, the shriek at anything more hurt even my deaf ears. It's tamed quite at but, still sounds great, and makes the car WAY more enjoyable to drive. That is the most important, because it achieves close to daily driver status when it's nice out. Of course, the Checker will be at Iola...
Lots more to do, but we're getting a lot crossed off the list, hope to see you all on the road!
