Update to the progress on the 1953 Mercury. Customer contracted me to finish up the body, paint & assembly of the front end. His mishap of tearing his rotator cuff has him getting surgery today. He will be unable to use his arm for a few months. So i‘m going to finish parts, paint & install them.

I had a shop call me few months back about blasting a 65 corvette fastback. Had some paint issues from a shop doing 1/4 panels, fenders & surround front by headlights install & painting. Been sitting a few years with bumps raising up in the paint.
I took the car in on Wednesday then Thursday wrapped it up to protect everything he didn’t want blasted. Not many shops out there go yo this extent but I always try to work with the customers.

I started blasting early Friday morning then finished in the afternoon. Actually looks like the parts that they purchased may have had the mix wrong when they did the composite lay up making the parts. After blasting every place that had a bump, had an indentation in the panel like something had let loose. Anyway it’s done & left yesterday going back to the body shop
