Are you wondering whether your child is ready to graduate from a booster? Indiana law requires all children under age 8 to ride in an approved (and correctly used) child restraint or booster - but most children need a booster for years longer than that for safety. Check out these steps and make an appointment with one of over 100 Inspection Stations around the state to ensure all your kids are riding securely in the car!

Graduating out of a booster seat is as easy as 1,2,3,4,5,6.
If you’re wondering if your child is ready to ride without a booster seat, check these 6 steps in the vehicle. Hint: different seating positions can have different seat belt fits. To learn more: https://bit.ly/4fYMeZX

📢Recall Alert!!🚨

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The child seat tether welds on the second-row, right-side seat frame may be insufficient, which can reduce the seat's ability to properly restrain a child during a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."

Dealers will replace the second-row, right-side seat frame, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 29, 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 27D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 16, 2026.

Use our VIN lookup tool to check for recalls on your car, or search by make and model. Our databases also list car seats, tires, and equipment recalled for unreasonable safety risk or failing to meet minimum safety standards.
