A shop can hold steady for a decade without a single thing going wrong. That's the version of stuck nobody warns you about.

John Volz worked more than 12 hours a day in a business his dad opened in 1982 and ran successfully for four decades. The foundation was real. So was the plateau.

What moved first wasn't the shop. It was John's confidence, built back in a gym where he felt out of place and kept showing up anyway, and in conversations that finally named the anxiety and loneliness he'd carried in silence.

Everything else followed. A new location opened right before COVID-19, and a marketing plan carried the shop through it. Then came his dad's confident handoff, a rebrand, and a crew that has stayed for years.

Volz Automotive is now projecting $5 million for 2026.
