Introducing our Better than Best break jobs!

Six months ago another shop did their Best to swindle our customer. The original complaint was a squishy brake pedal. After their Best work, and 1,100 dollars later, the pedal was still squishy and the client was told that's normal.

Well, its not normal folks. The right rear caliper was sticking, the brake pad wore out and chewed up the rotors. Fresh set of rotors and pads plus one rebuilt caliper and this thing is good to go.

We don't say that we don't do $1,100 brake jobs because sometimes that's what it takes. We do work with our clients to do what is best for their budget and their plans for the vehicle.

Well it's in our name...so yeah, we work on these too.

This 5.3L LS engine was a marketplace trade for a customer. Ended up having a lifter failure on #4, but we pulled it and gave it a refresh. New bearings, camshaft, lifters, and valve springs. Should be a fun one!

This Chevy Malibu had some serious goo in the intake tube. The owner had a junkyard engine installed by another shop and brought it to us with a whole slew of trouble codes and the car going in and out of limp mode.

It's not uncommon for these 4 cylinder engines to have a bit a blow by that causes oil deposits in the intake tubes. And we see this a lot with junkyard engines, they store these outside so water inevitably gets inside and rusts up the cylinder walls and rings allowing compression to leak into the crankcase. Usually it clears up after a while and we gave it a Sea Foam treatment to speed that process up.

We also added a catch can to the crankcase ventilation system to catch all that oil before it went into the intake. We tried to save the throttle body by cleaning it up, but the TAC motor was already worn out so we had to replace it.

Quick tune to adjust the transmission shift points to match the tire size and its back on the road again. The owner has a son that drives this car so the goal was to make it safe and reliable. High schoolers and college kids need a good ride that doesn't break the bank. We are all about helping with the maintenance and repairs on them to keep them going till they can upgrade on their own later.

It's Camaro time!

Engine assembled, transmission built, front suspension upgraded and its time to get this bad boy rolling again.

Been a long time getting parts in for this build, but its time to start putting it together. Going to be a turbo 1000hp daily driver with full a/c and a stock-ish ECM.

Diagnostics is one of the things we do well. We don''t like to change out a part unless we know its really bad. Its simple when its a mechanical issue, but electrical issues require more finesse.

Our customer had an engine rebuilt in this Jeep, but the engine builder didn't have the capabilities to diagnose the electrical fault. After a couple of days we finally nailed down the issue and replaced the Powertrain Control Module. She is back to running like new again.

Everyone needs a second chance...

This 95 Bronco has been stored out in the woods for a few years. Owner decided it is time to breathe some life back into this absolute unit.

Going to be throwing in a fresh tune up, completely new fuel system, and a complete undercoat to seal that rust. New interior, rear door, windows motors, and a triple polish on the paint. New brakes, fresh tires, and a cold air conditioner to make it one super cool daily driver.

2014 Hyundai Veloster aka The VelosteRaptor.

Almost 140,000 miles on this little hot rod. It's burns a little oil so it plugged up the exhaust, we cleaned it out and gave it a tune up. The front wheel bearings were making noise so we changed those out. While we were in the we threw on a set of control arms and a fresh set of brake pads. The new front bumper is getting painted and we'll have it all done tomorrow.

The car is near the end of its useful life, it will need an engine before long. But, it made sense for the owner to invest a little bit in it to push that retirement date out a bit.
