Direct Port Injection has pretty much become the new norm now. Which means you need to add valve cleaning to your maintenance schedule, if you have a DI car.

This service interval is generally 40,000 - 60,000mi, but can vary depending on the manufacturer.

Don’t waste your money on chemical inducted cleanings that the dealership offers.

Luis’s GTR is finished up and ready to head back with our Command Spec STG 1 engine. This vehicle features a Boost Logic 1050x turbo kit and a stock transmission. Once Luis is ready for an upgraded transmission from ShepTrans, he can expect to see +1000HP!

This week we got into some fun & diverse services around the shop! Check ‘em out 👉

🔵 Mr. Henry’s 2018 GTR got a transmission seal replaced by Blake.

🟠 This 2024 Nissan Z Heritage Edition came in to get 𝗭𝟭 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 Heat Exchanger.

🔘 This beauty got a Pre-Purchase Inspection.

Introducing Andrew! Multi Employee of the Month, and automotive industry veteran with 10 years in the game, he is our expert in performance sales. 

After his experiences in this industry, his biggest advice to someone just starting would be, “It’s really easy to become jaded to all the cool fast cars. You get around enough fast cars every day and it kind of ruins your perspective. Stuff that used to seem insane just starts feeling normal. You have to remind yourself that a car you barely look twice at might be someone else’s dream car. Be appreciative of what’s around you.”

Crucial tools to Andrew’s day here at TSH would be his work phone, and some black coffee (with sugar). No doubt you’ll find him with a good playlist, and some watermelon, as he works hard to help customer’s build their halo car.

His bosses chimed in, saying, “Andrew is super easy to work with and brings a lot of personality and humor to the shop. He’s great with customers, communicates well, represents The Shop Houston well, and is always willing to jump in wherever he’s needed.” And from another, “Andrew has been a great addition to the team and consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed. He’s dependable, works well with others, and contributes to a positive work environment. We appreciate his hard work, flexibility, and commitment to the team.”

To top it off, if you could peek into his dream garage, you would find a ‘24 Nismo R35, E30 M3, and GT3 RS. But here’s the plot twist that most wouldn’t expect : he drives a Tesla.
