Today we are back in Whittier doing training and continuing to try and identify any thing that may effect our response or hamper a mission. We will be putting the RHIB through its paces, doing Technical Dives, heavy lift bag training, practice recovering a unresponsive diver from the water, and boat operator training just to name a few.
Please consider making a Tax Deductible donation to the team, as we are only donation funded. Unfortunately we have received several calls this year requesting assistance in some of the villages but have not had the funds to respond to assist.
99% of all donations go into the mission. We are not paid, we all volunteer, we pay for our own training, we pay for a lot of our own equipment, and we have no building. We cover the entire state of Alaska and now the Municipality of Anchorage since AFD Disbanded their team. We can get reimbursement from the state for fuel, etc. if we are requested by the State DPS Search and Rescue Coordinator. Other than that everything is out of the funds you donate.
