The debate with a car like the Ferrari 12Cilindri is always whether you leave a naturally aspirated V12 alone or not.

The argument for the NOVITEC GROUP exhaust is that it doesn't fight the engine. It works with the V12 instead of drowning it out, so what you get is the character Ferrari already built in, just less muted, and it really shows up high in the rev range where these motors do their best work.

The rest we kept restrained on purpose. Prime XR Plus for heat rejection through the glass, and a full detail to bring every surface back to standard. The factory design stayed exactly as Ferrari drew it.

Anyone can put four films on a car. Getting them to feel like one continuous choice is the part that takes real skill.

Nothing stings quite like paying for paint protection and finding film peeling at the corners a year later.

That is exactly what this Ferrari 458 Speciale showed up wearing. We took every panel back to clean paint, then reprotected the whole car in XPEL Ultimate Plus, layered on Prime XR Plus tint, and sealed the paint, calipers, and every wheel barrel in professional-grade ceramic. Factory carbon door cards and kick guards got covered too, with imported OEM carbon and a Capristo intake added the same day.

This Porsche 992.2 GT3 came in wearing a rare Anthracite Brown Metallic, and before a single sheet of film went on, we took the whole car apart.

That is the difference between PPF that looks good on install day and PPF built to last. When the disassembly goes all the way down, the film can wrap into gaps and edges the eye never sees, not just the flat panels. Done right, you cannot tell it is there at all.

Here's what surprises most people: the ceramic coating is the easy part. The finish underneath is where the real work lives.

This BMW M2 went through a full multi-stage paint correction before anything else, reading the surface under proper light, then working through it in passes to lift out the swirls, marring, and built-up haze. A coating bonds to whatever it's laid over, so getting the paint genuinely level first is the whole game. Once the finish was right, the professional-grade ceramic went down, sealing in that depth with a surface road grime and water have a hard time sticking to.

Ceramic coating on the wheel barrels and calipers is the step most people never see and the one that separates a real protection job from a quick one.

On this 2026 Model S Plaid we ran XPEL Stealth PPF across the full vehicle for a self-healing matte surface, then layered a professional matte ceramic coating over the top so contaminants shed instead of bonding. XPEL Prime XR Plus nano-ceramic tint cuts heat and glare on every window. The wheel barrels and calipers got their own ceramic treatment, which is where brake dust and road film usually win. Summer is heating up, and this Audi R8 is finished and ready for the season.

A finish at this level looks simple in a photo, but the order behind it is everything. It began with reading the paint, assessing the surface panel by panel. From there came the most demanding phase: multi-stage concours wet sanding and leveling, slowly bringing the finish to a single flat plane so light reflects cleanly across it instead of scattering through factory texture. Most people have never seen paint this flat in person.

Only after that foundation was right did the protection follow. XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF went down over the corrected paint, then professional-grade ceramic coating for depth and slickness, with the wheel barrels and calipers coated as well. XPEL Prime XR Plus nano-ceramic tint and XPEL exterior windshield protection film took care of the glass, the door jambs and kick guards were protected, and the interior carbon fiber trim received its own PPF. Each step depended on the one beneath it being done correctly, which is exactly why a finish like this holds up to summer sun, heat, and real driving.
