The Porsche 911 Restored - Reimagined - Reborn Singer Vehicle Design was founded in 2009 to explore the creative possibilities in classic vehicle design.

We see our role as 21st Century coachbuilders dedicated to the passionate study, preservation and optimization of the world’s most respected high performance vehicles through modern techniques and unique and fresh perspectives. Our first design study was an attempt to present a restored and optimized, classic air-cooled Porsche 911 – in our view the most important sports car on the planet and worthy of such celebration both for its iconic status and the genius of the company that produced it. Our efforts were well received and we forged ahead with the necessary research and development to bring its features to a wider audience. We were pleased to share the news that barely a year after our debut, the first Singer modified vehicle was presented back to its owner in September 2010. Our work involves taking a customer’s existing vehicle and performing both restorative work and cutting edge modifications to update the car's performance, aesthetics and modern day useability in an attempt to optimize its strengths while preserving the essence and magic of the original. We see these restorative and modification procedures as a modest contribution to the recycling culture and a method of saving older vehicles from an uncertain fate. As our work evolves, we are proud to announce two important new partners in this process: the internationally renowned motorsport engineering powerhouse Cosworth will be our exclusive engine constructor, and the globally recognized Aria Group will provide state-of-the-art composite technology and world-class body preparation and painting artisanship. Such partnership brings new levels of sophistication, efficiency and reliability to our work. This Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet has been reimagined for its owner with a sports focus in mind.

The Type 964 chassis wears lightweight carbon fibre bodywork in Black Metallic. At the rear is a fixed rear wing, while the front features a sports-focused front fascia, with wider intakes and deeper splitter.

Under the rear wing is a 4.0L, four-valves per cylinder, naturally aspirated flat-six with variable valve timing, air-cooled cylinder heads and water-cooled cylinders.

A six-speed manual transmission routes power to the rear wheels, operated through a raised shift lever with exposed linkages. Behind the 18” centre-lock wheels are carbon-ceramic brakes, originally developed through our DLS services.

The interior is presented in Bone leather with tonal velvet corduroy featured on the seat centres and lightweight door architecture.

Air-conditioning, a nose lift, navigation and Car Play connectivity are also specified. The lightweight convertible folding roof system has been developed to enable a clean silhouette with the roof raised or lowered.

Stepping inside the Paragon Commission, commissioned by Mark Sumpter as a lightweight Porsche 911 suitable for daily driving.

Espresso leather is specified for the carbon fibre seats, with a uniform leather and suede weave chosen for seat centres, doors and along the dash strip. Singer badging inside the cabin is finished in 24K gold.

Early Porsche 911 gauges sit behind a leather trimmed steering wheel, referencing the F-body era of the Porsche 911.

The six-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels, operated using a walnut and ebony shift lever.

Paragon features folding rear seat backs, trimmed in Espresso leather to match the track seats up front. Lower panels feature square-weave carpet in dye-to-sample Espresso.

Meet Paragon – a Porsche 911 restored through Singer’s Classic services by its owner to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Paragon Porsche

“My plan was to commission a lightweight car that still offers enough comfort for regular driving” explains the commissioning owner.

To support this ethos, the car features lightweight carbon fiber bodywork, presented in a specially formulated green called Limelight. The exterior specification is complemented by nickel bright trim and bumperettes.

Mechanically, Paragon features a restored, naturally aspirated 4.0L flat-six delivering power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
Behind Fuchs-style 17” wheels sit carbon ceramic brake rotors, with calipers painted in Fluid Champagne.

The lightweight touring theme continues inside, where carbon fiber track seats are trimmed in Espresso leather, with seat centres and doors featuring uniform Espresso woven leather inserts.

Looking back at the track.

A couple of weeks ago the second annual Willow Springs Reimagined event took place at the iconic Willow Springs Raceway

Action on-track included wheel-to-wheel racing from Club Wheelhouse Porsche Cup cars, B-Sedan (the brand): Keeping The Spirit Alive and a grid of invited drivers taking on the Big Willow circuit in Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport racing cars.

Off-track, guests could view a variety of Porsche 911s reimagined through Singer’s services – A DLS Turbo restoration in Green Chromaflair, a second DLS Turbo restoration in Singer Racing White, and a cabriolet completed through Classic Turbo services in Coppa Florio Blue. Also joining us at the track was the Bear commission, a Porsche 911 restored through Classic services in Dare Bear Brown.

A Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet Reimagined by Singer can be specified with either road or sport-focused front and rear bodywork.

This sport-focused car is presented in Ivory and features carbon fiber track seats trimmed in bone leather.

Tonal velvet corduroy is specified for seat centres and doors, adding unique texture while calling to mind the fabric’s popularity across the 1970’s and 1980’s.

To encourage the driver to explore the capabilities of the naturally aspirated 4.0L ‘Mezger’ flat six, restored by Singer with engineering from Cosworth, a six-speed manual transmission is operated via a raised shift lever with exposed gear linkages.

With the lightweight ‘Z’ pattern folding roof opened, the sound of the engine heading towards its redline beyond 8000 RPM can be heard more clearly than ever.

DLS Turbo services offered owners the option to specify their car for road or track.

For ultimate freedom of choice, owners could specify both bodywork sets, enabling the configuration of their car to be changed as desired.

Personalized flight cases allow the extra bodywork set to be securely stored while not fitted to the car.

Carbon fiber bodywork in track specification as shown here includes a large Gunmetal and Gentian Blue loop spoiler and a revised front fascia, with larger intakes.

Seven-spoke Y-design magnesium centerlock wheels are fitted.

The performance-oriented interior specification includes primary trim in Royal Blue Alcantara with lower trim finished in exposed carbon fiber. The rear seat environment includes racing harnesses and a rear cross-brace also trimmed in Royal Blue Alcantra.

This Porsche 911 has been reimagined through our DLS Turbo services.

Carbon fiber bodywork is presented in Gunmetal with Gentian Blue chosen for the side stripes, front and rear fascia accents, door mirrors and ducktail spoiler.

The exterior specification is completed by magnesium wheels with Piano Black and Gold turbofan-style covers.

Under the ducktail is a twin-turbocharged 3.8L flat six, restored and developed by Singer, bringing together our expertise in turbocharging with the 4-valves per cylinder architecture developed through DLS services.

Inside, the owner has specified carbon fiber track seats trimmed in Royal Blue Alcantara with leather piping to match the exterior color.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed, manual transmission. Drive modes, developed with Bosch, allow the owner to adjust traction control and electronic stability control settings for driving conditions on road and track.

A look back at our visit to Atlanta with for Luft12.

We brought two turbocharged cars restored at Singer in California: a coupe in Singer Racing White and a cabriolet in Coppa Florio Blue.

Representing the naturally aspirated cars was a coupe in California Racing Gold, restored through DLS services at Singer in the UK.
