Saturday, October 24th, we're bringing out the pumpkins, costumes, candy, and Halloween spirit for a night of tricks, treats, and delicious eats!

🍬 TRICK-OR-TREATING! Little ghosts, goblins, witches, and superheroes, get those costumes ready! There's candy to be collected and memories to be made!

🍔 MILLIE'S KITCHEN will be rolling in with their food truck, serving up some frightfully delicious, ghoulish meals that are sure to wake the dead! 💀

☀️🍂 THIS is what fall at River Oaks Park is supposed to feel like! 🍂☀️

The sun has been shining, the air is crisp, and Mother Nature seems to be reminding us to slow down and enjoy the simple things. ❤️

It’s the perfect weather to lace up your shoes and take a walk along the trails, grab a fishing pole and head toward the pond, cruise around on the golf cart, or pull a chair up around the campfire and stay awhile. 🔥

There’s just something different about a campfire on a cool fall evening—the crackle of the wood, the smell of the smoke, good conversation, lots of laughs, and absolutely nowhere else you need to be.

These are the days we wait all year for. 🍁

And with our Halloween celebration coming October 24th, there’s a little spooky excitement starting to creep into River Oaks too. 🎃👻

🎃👻 SOMETHING WICKED IS COMING TO RIVER OAKS… 👻🎃

The leaves are falling… the nights are getting darker… and if you listen closely, you just might hear something stirring out beyond the pond. 🌙🍂

Saturday, October 24th, Halloween takes over River Oaks Park—and you never know what might be waiting around the next corner. 😈

🧙‍♀️ Sunny Soda Company will be brewing up some delicious Witches’ Brew and other spooky sips.

🍴 Millie’s Kitchen will be in the house serving up some frighteningly delicious ghoulish food to satisfy even the hungriest little monsters.

🍬 There will be trick-or-treating, Halloween fun, and perhaps a few surprises lurking along the way… 👀

☀️ THE SUN IS SHINING AT RIVER OAKS… AND SO ARE WE! ☀️💛

After all those rainy, gloomy days, Mother Nature finally decided we’ve had enough and sent us a beautiful dose of SUNSHINE! 🙌😂

And you know what? Sometimes a little sunshine is exactly what the soul needs.

So here’s your reminder today: get outside, laugh a little louder, worry a little less, and soak up the good stuff. 💛

And if you’ve been sitting at home wondering what to do this weekend… we have an idea. 😉

🔥 Build a campfire.
🎣 Throw a line in the pond.

☔🌧️ WELL… IT’S STILL RAINING AT RIVER OAKS PARK! 🌧️☔

At this point, we’re beginning to think Mother Nature forgot how to turn the faucet off. 😂

The grass is soaked, the roads are muddy, the puddles have puddles, and somewhere out there a duck is probably looking at River Oaks thinking, “This place is PERFECT!” 🦆

We’ve had rain off and on for what feels like forever, so if you’re staying with us, please be extra careful driving through the park and give our soggy grounds a little extra love. 💙

But you know what?

There’s still something pretty peaceful about a rainy day at River Oaks. The sound of rain hitting the camper roof, a hot cup of coffee in your hands, a cozy blanket, and absolutely NO reason to feel guilty about slowing down for a while. ☕🌧️

The sunshine will eventually come back, the trails will dry out, and we’ll be complaining that it’s too hot before we know it. 😂

Until then, grab the coffee, stay cozy, and enjoy the rainy-day camping life.

🌧️ WELL… RIVER OAKS HAS OFFICIALLY GONE SOGGY! 😂

If you've been wondering how things are going out here after more than a week of rain off and on…

Let's just say the ducks are thriving and the rest of us are considering webbed feet. 🦆😂

The grass is soaked.
The trails are muddy.
The puddles have puddles.
And somewhere underneath all this water, we're pretty sure there's still a campground. 🤣

But you know what?

There's something kind of beautiful about River Oaks on these rainy days. 🌧️🌳

The trees look greener. The river sounds a little louder. Everything slows down just a bit, and there's something pretty peaceful about sitting inside the camper listening to the rain hit the roof.

So for now, we're embracing the soggy socks, muddy shoes and cloudy skies…because eventually those clouds are going to break, the sun is going to come back out, and River Oaks will dry up again. ☀️

Until then…

Please take it slow around the park, watch for soft and muddy areas, and maybe leave the good shoes in the camper! 😂

And if anyone happens to see Noah floating down the river collecting animals two by two…

PLEASE tell him River Oaks would like a word. 🤣🌧️🛶

🍂 You can feel it coming at River Oaks… 🍂

The mornings are a little cooler. The evenings seem a little quieter. The leaves are just beginning to hint that change is on the way, and before we know it, River Oaks will be dressed in all those beautiful shades of fall. 🧡

There’s just something about camping this time of year.

It’s hoodies around the fire, coffee on a cool morning, the smell of woodsmoke in the air, football on the TV, and those evenings when sitting around the campfire feels exactly like where you’re supposed to be. 🔥☕🏕️

And around here, we’re getting pretty excited because Halloween is creeping closer! 👻🎃

We have some fun things brewing for our October 24th Halloween celebration, including our very first Haunted Trail, trick-or-treating, spooky treats, and plenty of River Oaks fun!

Summer may be winding down…but River Oaks certainly isn’t. 😉

The nights are getting longer, the shadows are getting creepier, and we’ve heard some strange things stirring around the trails at River Oaks… 🌙🌲

That can only mean one thing…

HALLOWEEN IS FAST APPROACHING! 🕷️🧙‍♀️💀

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 24th, because River Oaks Park is getting ready for a frightfully fun Halloween celebration!

🍴 Millie’s Kitchen will be rolling in with some deliciously spooky eats to keep all you ghosts and goblins fed.

🥤 Sunny Soda Co. will be mixing up some wickedly good “witches’ brew” drinks and sweet treats.

👻🌲 And for the FIRST TIME EVER…

A HAUNTED TRAIL IS COMING TO RIVER OAKS PARK!
