We had a great turn out at our car show on the 19th, and it was a beautiful day for it! We couldn't have asked for better weather or people! It was great talking to everyone and getting to see all the vehicles brought out! From classic restored vehicles, modern muscle, and fully customized rides, it was fun having it all in our parking lot! Thank you to everyone who made it and stay tuned for more!

That being said it's also time to show a little of what we've had going on ourselves for the last few months. We've had the honor of working on some extremely cool projects and we are getting more scheduled!

Down below you will find pictures of a beautiful '55 Chevy and '69 Nova both owned by Lloyd Allen decked out in a pro-street format!

We are no strangers to the '55 as we've had it in the shop before for mounting the massive set of 18.5" wide rear tires and installing a set of coil-overs in the rear to give it a mean stance and great ride! This time around its 502 big block got a fuel system overhaul, utilizing a Holley Sniper EFI kit we were able to wake up the big block and give it the performance and reliability this awesome show boat needed!

The '69 Nova just arrived in the shop late last week and we are going to be helping dial on the new rowdy small block this monster has. This beautiful car has been to some of our past car shows we hosted at the BuckSnort in town and always draws attention!

We also have got to work on a beautiful 73 Plymouth Satellite Sebring owned by Kenny Stein. This car came in for a universal A/C system that will allow him to travel in style and comfort when he isn't out in the fields!

Last of this long post will be an amazing work in progress '79 K20 owned by Jeff Schmitz. This came in with an outdated EFI system that just wasn't able to keep up with the modified small block this truck has powering it. It received a Holley Sniper EFI and a little tuning which got it back on the road and ready for his boys to cruise in!

A massive thank you to everyone who has brought their vehicles in to us and let us work on them! We are continuing to grow our business and are here to help with whatever project you can throw our way!

Here at Schmidt Motor Workx we have been considering a couple new services for the community, but we want your feedback on if this would be something you are all interested in, before we commit the money in equipment. We want to become your one stop shop for vehicles, both daily driven and performance, as well as your equipment as we do understand this is still very much a farming community.

Our first one would be bed liner and undercoating application. Bed lining would be any application of bed liner whether it's to protect your truck's bed surface, applying to the lower part of your vehicle to protect that portion against salt and grime, or wanting to do an entire vehicle, trailer, or equipment. With this we would be using Raptor Liner and it would be available in a variety of colors or we could dye it to any color you want. The undercoating (Such as Fluid Film, Wax Oyl, or Wool Wax for example) is what you see done at a lot of dealerships to help protect against salt, it applies a thin coat of wax to the undercarriage of vehicles that usually lasts between 2-3 years before needing reapplied and will help keep rust at bay.

The second would be trailer modification and repair. This is a service we already offer for the most part but would include modifying trailer ramps and decks, repairing deck surfaces, painting trailers, full axle or suspension replacement, and doing full rewiring.

The last is equipment repair and modification. This applies to equipment along the lines of skid steers, tractors, loaders, ect. This would mainly apply to the repair and maintenance category for these kinds of equipment.

Through the month of January we will be doing an oil change special! Come in and get $10 off your oil change!

Remember we will be running our new hours which are as follows:

Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm
Saturday - Sunday: By Appointment Only

We are also working on building up a full fabrication area within the shop to build and modify trailers, equipment, and exhaust so stay tuned for those updates!

So over our last year of business we have been paying attention to when we are getting calls and when we have people stopping in. We have noticed most people have been following a traditional 9-5 Mon-Fri schedule so we are going to make some changes to best serve you!

That being said our new hours are going to be Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We will also do weekends by appointment only as we do a lot with our local dirt track!

We will continue to be posting more actively on here as we continue to expand and further our own skills so keep an eye out for future posts! If you have a service you would like to see from us feel free to reach out and we may be able to make something happen!

Come visit us for all your diesel maintenance, repair, and upgrades!

We have been branching out and with the start of the new year we will be releasing more services we can offer! Follow and share our page to see what we can do for you!

With our community we see a great amount of diesel trucks on the road, we want to help keep them there. Whether you just need an oil change and full grease done, are looking to do some preventative repairs and upgrades, or simply want to get the most power out of your diesel we can help with everything, EXCEPT for the tuning. Which we are happy to help source and install tunes from those with much more experience in that field!

Here have been some of the projects we have had:

2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LLY (Red)

- Received a full head gasket and head stud kit as well as new manifolds, water pump, and up-pipes

2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LLY (Black)

- This LLY was much like the last and got a full head gasket and stud kit, PPE Stainless Downpipe and Up-pipes, water pump, PCV reroute, S&B Body Mounts, Wherli Fab intake horn and intake.

2006 Chevy Silverado 3500HD LBZ (White)

- We have limited images of this bone stock service truck, but it is an amazing work truck and was due for some upgrades. This time around we installed a FASS 100GPH Signature lift pump!

1996 Ford F-250 7.3L

- Don't have any images of this one, but we were happy to install a new fuel bowl, Downpipe, Turbo, and 4" Exhaust!

Well there's a lot of talk about our snow storm this afternoon. Of course in good ole Iowa, we don't actually know how much we are going to get, but we like to be prepared...

That being said Tony and Myself (Mavrick) are on stand by with our gear loaded and ready. Our phone numbers will be at the end of the post if you need to get ahold of us!

First responders (Police, Fire Fighter, Doctor, Nurses) if you need a ride into the stations/hospital while on call or your vehicle out of the snow responding to a call, we will be happy to assist for FREE!

Everyone else please stay inside if you can. If you do find yourself needing help please feel free to reach out, and we can help get you back on the road!
