This 1949 GMC 250 has one owner and one story, a family farm in Kansas.

It spent its whole life working that land, and it shows.

We’ve had it a while now, bringing it back piece by piece, and keeping it as original as we can. The only two changes we’re making are a twelve volt electrical system and a fuel injection unit, everything else stays true to 1949.

Some trucks deserve to look exactly like they did the day they left the factory.

There’s more than 40 years of experience behind every restoration at Atlanta Auto Restoration.

In 1986, Mark Engel entered the automotive collision industry after a car accident changed the direction of his life. What started in collision repair eventually became a deeper passion for restoring the cars that defined generations.

After attending technical school to specialize in restoration and refinishing, Mark took that experience and turned it into Atlanta Auto Restoration , a shop dedicated to classic cars, muscle cars, and restorations built with pride in craftsmanship.

For Mark, restoration isn’t simply about making an old car look new.

It’s about understanding the car, respecting its history, and bringing it back to the way it was meant to be.

That commitment has been at the heart of Atlanta Auto Restoration for decades.

Based in Hampton, GA, we restore the cars worth bringing back.

Take a walk through the shop with us this week.

We’ve got a 1969 Camaro Z/28, an original build we finished for a customer, still covered under our one year warranty on full rebuilds and lifetime warranty on paint and bodywork. Right next to it, a 1936 Ford that just rolled in from Vicksburg, Mississippi, getting converted from manual to automatic transmission.

Got a classic car project that’s been sitting too long? This is the place to bring it, right here in Hampton, GA.
