This Ford Focus had been to many shops for a concern of no audio and trouble codes for communication issues related to the radio (audio module). This vehicle's sound system communication protocol is called ICAN by Ford. For many months, shops kept replacing the radio to match the incorrect radio part number that the car would arrive with. That wrong part number was for radios that used a Medium Speed CAN protocol, not compatible with ICAN. This vicious cycle continued until the proper testing was done. The databus decoder allowed me to see there was 2 different baud rates trying to communicate at the same time.
The correct radio, which was equipped with ICAN, was installed and programmed for a successful repair.

This GM work van’s door locks cycled on and off while driving. The shop called me in to assist in finding the root cause. With some pinpoint testing I found a body harness rubbing on a bracket that holds the cargo shelves.

We diagnosed a failed Turbo on an Audi that had low power concerns , A BWM had fuel control issues due to a failed engine control module and updated a Volvo to address a battery charging concern
