Yesterday, Tri-City Jr. Speedway had the incredible opportunity to represent grassroots motorsports at the INDYCAR Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway. As thousands of race fans packed the stands for one of the Midwest’s premier racing events, our club was proud to share what quarter midget racing is all about and introduce families to our club.
We had the chance to talk with fans about Tri-City Jr. Speedway, our rookie programs, scholarship opportunities, and how young drivers can get started in quarter midget racing. From first-time spectators to lifelong racing fans, we loved seeing the excitement when people learned that children as young as five years old can begin their racing journey right here in our local community.
Events like this help showcase the importance of grassroots racing. Every professional driver started somewhere, and for many future racers, quarter midgets are the first step. We are proud to provide a safe, family-oriented environment where kids can build confidence, learn sportsmanship, develop mechanical knowledge, and create lifelong friendships.
A huge thank you to World Wide Technology Raceway, INDYCAR, our volunteers, and everyone who stopped by to visit with us. We look forward to welcoming new families to Tri-City Jr. Speedway and continuing to grow the future of motorsports — one kid at a time.
If you stopped by and clicked a photo of your kiddo in one of our cars, we would love to see it in the comments below.
