This has got to be one of the neatest events that Tri City Speedway was able to be apart of.

Very Special Thank you to Brenda Hughes for putting this together.

Saturday, February 28. 2026 at approximately 1pm a COMMUNITY of 166 individual jeeps converged at Tri City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois to make history.

To commemorate the Centennial Celebration of Route 66 (The Mother Road), 166 Jeeps gathered to form the infamous Route 66 hiway shield.

This. This right here is what the JEEPing community is all about. Jeeples coming from miles and miles around to make a vision that one man, Matthew Walburn, had. He put in countless hours and many sleepless nights to make his vison come true. Not club oriented, but all jeep owners., a COMMUNITY (cult as many call us).

You, I mean WE, every single one of you in this photo and your families came together and made it happen.

There are alot of people to thank for this beautiful scene.

Tammy Gundaker and KG Gundaker owners of Tri City Speedway for allowing us to use your facility.
