An upper oil pan leak may sound simple—but getting to it is another story.

For this repair, we had to remove the transmission and lower oil pan just to access the upper pan. It’s a labor-intensive job that takes the right equipment and attention to detail to seal properly.

Accidents happen—and putting DEF in the diesel fuel tank is easier to do than many people realize.

Unfortunately, DEF can contaminate the fuel system and damage the high-pressure pump, injectors, fuel lines, and other components. The amount of damage often depends on whether the engine was started and how far the contaminated fuel traveled through the system.

If you realize DEF was added to the fuel tank, do not start the engine or turn the key on. Have the truck towed to a qualified diesel repair shop. Acting quickly may help prevent a much larger repair.

This truck came to Anderson Diesel Service after DEF entered the fuel system. We inspected the system, determined the extent of the contamination, and handled the repairs needed to get it back on the road.

Depending on your insurance policy, some of the damage may qualify for coverage. We can document what we find and work with your insurance company throughout the repair process. Coverage is determined by your insurer.
