An easy cam swap goes way out of control. After pulling the intake off we find metal shavings inside the lifter valley. So off to the machine shop to check for damage and reassembly. 408 Dodge Magnum Stroker making 489 hp on the dyno. Metal shavings seem to be from previous engine work and a blown out lifter happened too.
Update: engine was assembled poorly. Bore size was different in a couple cylinders, metal shavings caused scarring in the cylinders, crank shaft, bearings were toast, 2 pistons were severely damaged from being In a cylinder that was too small, rocker arms were filed for clearance issues broken lifter guess a total rebuild is in order to make it right

Got to visit this ole girl today. Did a complete evaluation after being parked here for decades, got electrical working and even turned over the engine. Now to get her in the shop and running and driving again.
