Today, on 9/11, I remember exactly where I was.

I was working at Advance Leasing and Auto Sales, a small buy-here-pay-here dealership in Jonesboro, Georgia. I was there with Ruben, Xavier, Felicia, and other members of our sales staff.

We had the news playing in the small showroom lounge area in front of Ruben’s desk. As the events unfolded, we all pulled our chairs closer and watched together as the United States was attacked.

It was difficult to comprehend what we were witnessing. It was one of those moments when everything seemed to stop, a very real moment that I will never forget.

Today, we remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders who ran toward danger to help others.

May we never forget what happened that day, and may we also remember how our country came together afterward. Regardless of our differences, we are strongest when we stand together as one nation.

Never forget. 🇺🇸
