Russ explains how to properly fix a vehicle's A/C system after a severe compressor failure: Simply swapping in a new compressor and recharging the refrigerant will result in rapid failure because metal contamination and debris will quickly destroy the new unit. To prevent this, a proper repair requires using a complete kit (the Carquest Premium A/C Replacement Kit from our partners Advance Auto Parts) with a compressor, expansion valve, and desiccant bag, alongside flushing or replacing contaminated components like the condenser.

On today’s show, we talked about the Tesla Cybercab launch this evening. They have been flooding the streets in Austin, Texas. These photos were taken of a test unit being operated in Roseville, CA a few weeks ago. My son-in-law Maxwell Nielson , a Tesla owner himself , spotted it and gets photo credit. This one had steering yoke and pedals, the production units in Austin do not.
