If you have put in more than 500 hours laying in the dirt on your back workin on vehicles or motorcycles or tractors or 4 wheelers, in your lifetime then we may be the same type of people.
I used to tell myself I was done laying in the dirt that one day I’d have a shop to call my own. While that is still my goal it’s gonna take a lot more nights of layin in the dirt to get there. It’s very easy to look around at the people that have always had it better than you the people that grew up always having a garage or heated building to work in.
I used to always envy those types of people, but you know I’m proud I grew up laying on my back in the dirt it made me appreciate how much I really have. All the old timers would always say “that stuff builds character” and I could never see it at the time but the more I laid in the dirt and wrenched and thought about it the more I relised they are completely right.
If I had a dollar for everytime something an old timer told me came true I’d already be a rich man.
Best advice I can give you is to listen to your elders and learn everything you can and grit your teeth and make moves, and appreciate what you already have because there is somebody out there that doesn’t have anything but dreams of doing what you already are.
Be the influence you wish you had growing up🫡
