Reliable Automotive

Your schedule does not always line up with our hours, and that is fine. Our after-hours key drop lets you leave your vehicle with us in the evening, after we close, so our team can start on it first thing the next business morning.

Drop it off on your way home, and we will call you with an update once we have taken a look. It is one more way we try to make car care fit around your life instead of the other way around. Call Reliable Automotive at 615-472-1825 or schedule online at myreliablerepair.com.

Shout-out to Mike Johnson!
That's Mike hard at work removing and installing a new engine on this Kia Sorento. He's the kind of tech every shop hopes for: skilled, careful, and he treats every car like it's his own. Our customers notice it, and so do we.
Thank you, Mike, for the quality work and the great attitude you bring every day. We're lucky to have you on the team! Need a repair done right? Give us a call or stop by. Mike and the crew have you covered.

Last day of September, so here is everything in one place.

Reliable Automotive, 112 Alpha Drive, Franklin. Open Monday through Friday from 7 to 5 and closed weekends. Pickup and delivery within about eight miles, a shuttle if you need one, and a key drop for the night before.

October is when a tired battery finally gives up. If yours has been slow to turn over on cold mornings, that is worth a few minutes now.

Reviews are most of how people in Franklin find a shop, so when somebody takes the time we notice.

"This place is fantastic! … So grateful for their honesty and integrity." — Clarissa

Thank you for that. If we have looked after your car recently, a couple of sentences online helps an independent shop more than you would expect.

Electrical faults are the ones that make people give up on a car.

A window that works sometimes. A light that comes on in the rain. Something draining the battery overnight that nobody can find. These are frustrating because they are intermittent, and intermittent problems do not show up on demand.

They are findable. It takes patience and the right equipment rather than luck, and it is a lot of what we do.

There is a particular kind of accountability that comes with being an independent shop in a town where people talk.

We cannot afford a bad month the way a chain can. If we get something wrong, the person it happened to knows twelve other people who bring us their cars. That is a real constraint and we think it makes us better at this.

Back open Monday at 7.

The park is full and a good part of Franklin is out there today. Have a good one.

We are closed today and tomorrow. If the weekend leaves your car needing something, we are back Monday at 7 and we will come get it if that is easier.

Driving anywhere this weekend, or staying put while everybody else drives in?

Either way, today is the last weekday before it all starts. Bring the car by and we will look over tires, brakes, fluids and lights. It takes a few minutes and it is a great deal cheaper than working it out on the shoulder of I-65.

Open until 5, closed Saturday and Sunday.

New on the blog. We wrote about what a shop that has seen thousands of the same engine family notices that a general shop does not.

It is not magic and it is not a sales pitch. It is mostly about knowing which noises are normal for a particular car, which saves you money on parts that were never the problem. Link below.
