JOB OPENING - Automotive shop helper
Busy auto repair shop looking for someone self motivated who can help with daily tasks. Duties will include, but not limited to the following:
1. Keep parking lot arranged for vehicles in for service or completed.
2. Open shop for daily business, pull out vehicles, open gate, etc.
3. Clean and inspect vehicles after service completion for cleanliness, degrease engines after oil leak repairs.
4. Customer shuttle service, parts pickup/delivery, and vehicle pickup/delivery.
5. Help with parts inventory (i.e. filters and oil supply).
6. Help with inventory control of parts, check in when delivered and returns.
7. Assist and sort parts when delivered for specific jobs and customers.
8. Keep shop, offices, and restrooms clean and presentable at all times.
9. Help organize and put away cars at close of business.
10. Help technicians if needed. i.e. push in cars, check lights, etc.
11. Keep shop organized and special tools are kept in order and accounted for.
12. Duties will be added or deleted as necessary.
13. Prefer that you are able to drive manual transmission vehicles. We can teach if needed.
14. Help perform quality control test drive of vehicles.
15. Must be able to lift up to 60lbs at times (trash, scrap metal, etc) and operate cleaning equipment (vacuum, floor scrubber, mop, broom, etc.).
16. complete general mechanical repairs (i.e. Change oil, Brakes, and other simple repairs, as well as helping technicians - will train).
This is a full-time position (1099), working Monday-Friday (weekends as needed), and hours will begin at 9 a.m. You will have a daily lunch break depending upon if you are part or full time.
