Day 2 of the Plywood Regatta was race day—the ultimate test of the boats the teams built. Would they sink or float? These students did an incredible job. Every boat was unique, colorful, and creatively designed. It was a fantastic way to wrap up the event. Winners even took home a $1,000 scholarship.

Savvy Maritime Academy was proud to be part of the Plywood Regatta as a committee member, supporting middle and high school students as they built their own boats on Day 1. 🚤

Day 2 brings the real test—taking their creations to the water to see if they float!

What an incredible, hands-on experience and a fun event hosted by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, inspiring the next generation of maritime professionals. 🌊⚓️
