Book lovers don't have too many books, they just need more storage! π€©ππ
If you decide to store a portion of your collection, remember to avoid making these 5 mistakes when storing books:
π« Storing in Damp Areas
Itβs important to store your books in a setting where you can control the humidity levels to preserve their condition. Climate-controlled storage units are often an excellent solution
π« Skipping Protective Containers
Cardboard boxes work for storage, but we recommend purchasing plastic or metal storage containers for books when possible. Books are heavy, and cardboard can strain with the weight
π« Packing Boxes Too Heavy
Speaking of weight, use small to medium sized containers to store your novels. Your back will thank you!
π« Packing the Wrong Way
Stack your books upright in their containers, rather than laying flat, to protect the spines
π« Forgetting to Label Boxes
Sort your books by genre, author, alphabetically, or hardbacks and paperbacks, then label your boxes so you can easily find specific titles again later
